Rocket League’s Salty Shores update set to launch on May 29

Psyonix Announces Salty Shores Update Coming to Rocket League

Publishing on May 29, Psyonix has shared details about the highly anticipated Rocket League update, titled Salty Shores.

In a newly released trailer, Psyonix revealed that Salty Shores will feature a mesmerizing beach-themed Arena, which draws inspiration from the iconic Miami Vice series. This new Arena will be available for free to all Rocket League players across all platforms.

In addition to the new Arena, a special in-game event will kick off on June 11, bringing with it a wide range of Summer-themed items in Loot Boxes, which players can purchase from the in-game store. These exclusive items will only be available during the event.

The May update will also mark the beginning of Rocket League’s eighth competitive season. Players will receive their season seven rewards, including new banners and goal animations.

Alongside these exciting additions, Psyonix has confirmed that a new playlist and a new Battle-Car, called the Twinzer, will be introduced during the event. More details about these surprises will be shared closer to the end of May.

Apart from the upcoming summer event, Psyonix has also revealed plans for new licensed DLC in the future. While the franchise for the DLC has not been disclosed, fans can expect more exciting content to be added to the game. Additionally, the RLCS Season 5 World Championship will be taking place in June. All of these updates were outlined in Psyonix’s Summer Roadmap.
