Rocket League’s Festive Lucky Lanterns event is now live

Get ready for Rocket League’s Lucky Lantern event

It’s time to celebrate the Year of the Rat in style! Rocket League’s Lucky Lantern event has begun on all platforms, allowing fans to earn exciting prizes simply by playing online matches.

During the Lucky Lanterns event, players can earn a special currency called Red Envelopes by participating in online matches. These Red Envelopes can then be used to unlock various prizes such as Chinese Dragon toppers, wheels, and Red Envelope-themed vehicle trails. A complete list of rewards and the number of Red Envelopes needed for each cosmetic item can be found on the Lucky Lanterns event page.

In addition to the in-game currency rewards, Rocket League’s shop will offer exclusive event items for purchase. However, players will also have the opportunity to earn some of the rewards for free. Upon logging in for the first time during the event, players will automatically receive the Goodbye Nian player banner. The event also includes a new arena called Forbidden Temple, beautifully decorated with cherry blossoms and temples.

During the event, players will also have the chance to receive limited-time Golden Lanterns, which are free-to-open loot boxes containing items from Impact, Overdrive, and Victory Series.

The Lucky Lanterns event will come to a close on Feb. 10, but don’t worry if you have any leftover Red Envelopes. You can continue to redeem them until Feb. 13.
