Rocket League to Introduce New Heatseeker Limited-Time Mode on April 16

Rocket League Introduces Limited-Time Heatseeker Game Mode

Psyonix recently announced the launch of a new game mode, Heatseeker, for Rocket League. However, this mode will only be available for a limited time, starting on April 16 and ending on April 20.

Heatseeker is a unique game mode in which teams of three players compete against each other. The twist is that the ball automatically aims at the opposing team’s goal, even if the shot is not a direct threat. If the ball misses the goal and hits the backboard, it gains speed and ricochets back towards the other net. Additionally, each touch on the ball makes it move faster.

This new gimmick in Heatseeker allows various types of shots, including pinch shots, power clears, and 50-50s, to threaten a goal regardless of their distance or angle. It may also help correct mistakes made during flicking or aerial shots.

Unlike other game modes, Heatseeker matches do not have a time limit. They end based on reaching a score of seven goals. The first team to achieve this goal wins the match.

However, Heatseeker will only be available for a short time. It will be removed from rotation on April 20, just four days after its launch. Unfortunately, players will not be able to replicate this mode in Custom matches as limited-time modes like Spike Rush cannot be played in private matches.

Despite its temporary availability, Heatseeker mode still allows players to gain experience points and progress through their Rocket Pass tiers just like in Casual, Competitive, or Extra Mode playlists. This ensures that players can continue their progression even while enjoying the limited-time mode.

Additionally, players who log into the game during the limited-time period will receive the Hypnoteks player banner for free. The appearance of this cosmetic item has not been revealed by Psyonix yet.

Don’t miss out on this exciting limited-time game mode in Rocket League!
