Psyonix Launches First Season of Content for Rocket League Sideswipe
Just days after the release of the 2D mobile game Rocket League Sideswipe, Psyonix has officially introduced the game’s first season of content.
Available for free on iOS and Android, Sideswipe is now moving from its pre-season phase to season one, and it comes with an exciting crossover event with the original Rocket League game.
During this Rocket League Crossover Event, players can unlock special items in both games. Currently, there are two live challenges in Sideswipe that, once completed, grant players the Nuhai Inverted Wheels and the Wow! Goal Explosion for use in both titles. Additionally, by just signing in and linking their Epic Games accounts, players can get the Water Resistant Player Anthem by Anamanaguchi in Rocket League.
As an added treat, Rocket League players can enjoy the new songs featured in Sideswipe through Rocket League Radio.
With the start of season one, all ranks from the pre-season have been reset, introducing new challenges and exciting items available as rewards for leveling up and in the shop. Moreover, Sideswipe’s first Rocket Pass is now live, offering players the opportunity to earn more customization items and in-game currency for free.
Participants of Sideswipe’s pre-season will receive rewards based on their highest achieved rank during the initial rollout phase, including exclusive titles for their Player Banners. At the end of season one, players will also receive rewards based on their highest placement throughout the season.
