Psyonix Expands Partnership with Ford in Rocket League

Psyonix has announced an expansion of its partnership with Ford, introducing two variants of the Ford Mustang into the popular esports game Rocket League. Along with this collaboration, Ford will also sponsor the Rocket League Championship series, further solidifying their commitment to the competitive gaming community.

From December 9th to 22nd, players will have the opportunity to acquire a classic muscle car and a modern electric version of the iconic Ford Mustang. This limited-time event allows fans of Rocket League to experience the thrill of driving these renowned vehicles within the virtual world.

The original 1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R has been given a rocket-powered upgrade to compete in Rocket League, while the newer Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV has also received a similar enhancement. The Mach-E SUV features a unique visual effect that provides a lightning effect when it reaches supersonic speeds, showcasing its electric nature in an exciting way.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E and the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R will be available for purchase in the in-game shop for a cost of 1,100 Credits individually or 2,000 Credits for both bundles. Each bundle includes exclusive content related to the respective car model, allowing players to customize their vehicles and enhance their Rocket League experience.

Ford will also have a significant presence in the upcoming RLCS Fall Major, acting as the presenting sponsor for the event taking place from December 8th to 12th in Sweden. This tournament will mark the return of cross-regional RLCS action after more than a year, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans worldwide.
