Mike “Gregan” Ellis, manager and coach of Vitality’s Rocket League team, believes they have a shot at becoming world champions after acquiring 15-year-old prodigy Kyle “Scrub Killa” Robertson, he revealed on the OMEN Esports Report yesterday.

“Every team wants to take down Dignitas,” Gregan said. “So we brought in Scrub Killa, and we think this could be the team that does it. Our ultimate goal is to become world champions in any game.”

The Rise of Scrub Killa and the Challenge for Team Dignitas

Team Dignitas is the reigning Rocket League world champion and has been dominating the scene for the past year, winning the championship in June after a fierce seven-game series against NRG. However, the addition of Scrub Killa, widely regarded as the best one-vs-one player in the game, might change the balance. Having turned 15 in May, Scrub Killa is now eligible to compete in the Rocket League Championship Series. After enjoying playing with Vitality pros Victor “Fairy Peak” Locquet and Philip “pasch90” Paschmeyer, he decided to join the team.

An Aspiring Superstar with a Bright Future

According to Gregan, Scrub Killa will be the next superstar in the scene. “I can tell you now, he’s going to be a Rocket League pro. And if other games become popular, like first-person shooters, he will also excel in those and be a top esports competitor at a young age throughout his career.”

Insights from Gregan on OMEN Esports Report

During his appearance on the third monthly episode of the OMEN Esports Report, Gregan discussed various topics, including his team, the importance of physical fitness and its impact on mental health in esports, and how to get started in Rocket League as a newcomer. He joined hosts Frankie Ward and Ceirnan “Excoundrel” Lowe on the couch for this engaging discussion.

Before Gregan, Battlefield content creator and EA Game Changer of the Year Westie shared exclusive footage of the upcoming release of Battlefield 5 from Gamescom. Later, esports interviewer and host Lottie Van-Praag joined the show to talk about the latest news from the esports world.

A Friendly Match and Prizes for Viewers

To conclude the episode, Gregan teamed up with Rocket League rookie Van-Praag for a two-vs-two online match. Gregan impressively scored four goals and even set up Van-Praag for her own goal, leading to a 5-0 victory. Viewers who predicted their win had a chance to win an OMEN desktop gaming PC.

If you missed the episode or want an opportunity to win some OMEN gear, make sure to tune in next month for episode four on Sept. 28.
