Rocket League: The Rising Star of eSports

Rocket League, the popular online game, has quickly become a rising star in the world of eSports. Despite being just over 6 months old, the game has captivated players and fans alike, showcasing the fast-paced nature of the esports scene.

Building a successful esports game is no easy feat. The competition is fierce, with many other games dominating the industry. Rocket League has managed to stand out by offering top-notch gameplay, high production value, and an engaging experience that keeps fans coming back for more.

One man’s dream of supporting the community has evolved into the Rocket League Central Pro League (#RLCProLeague). This professional league brings together dedicated individuals from North America, England, and Germany.

The Rocket League Central (RLC) Pro League features the top teams from the weekly power rankings and select qualifiers. Teams compete in various tournaments to secure a spot in the Pro League.

How it Works:

Open Qualifier

  • Open to all teams
  • Single elimination
  • Top 8 teams qualify for Pro League Qualifier

The Pro League Qualifier

  • Top 8 from Open Qualifier + teams ranked 3-10 in the Rocket League Central power rankings
  • Top 5 teams qualify for the Pro League, joining the top 2 from the power rankings

There are two leagues in the Pro League – EU and NA. Both leagues started their seasons this past Sunday. After a 7-week season, the top 4 teams from each region will compete in the playoffs to determine the season 1 champion.

EU: Flipside Tactics vs. Crown & Jewels

These two teams have consistently been at the top of the power rankings. While Flipside Tactics has been dominant, Crown & Jewels showed great form last week. It’ll be an exciting match-up to see if Flipside Tactics can maintain their winning streak.

NA: NOT vs iBuyPower (iBP) Cosmic

iBuyPower Cosmic has been a top team in NA, with fan-favorite Kronovi leading the charge. NOT, on the other hand, is a young team gaining recognition. The match will determine which team holds the number 1 spot in the power rankings.
