Format and Schedule Updates for the RLCS X Winter Split

The Rocket League Championship Series Winter Split is Here

The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) is getting ready for Winter with an exciting new format and schedule. With 24 teams competing and over $100,000 in prize money on the line, this is set to be an action-packed event.

In the Winter Split, the RLCS X is reducing the number of competitors from 32 to 24 teams. This split will feature a double-elimination format instead of the previous Swiss format used in the Fall Split.

The top 10 teams from the previous season will automatically qualify for Regionals again. Additionally, the two teams with the highest point totals that have not already qualified will also earn automatic qualification. The remaining 12 spots for the main event will be decided through open qualifiers.

In the grand finals, teams coming from the lower bracket will need to win against their opponents from the upper bracket twice to claim victory. Each Regional event in North America and Europe will offer a $100,000 prize pool, just like in the previous split.

Psyonix is updating the schedule of all the qualifiers to accommodate the Winter holidays. Here are the dates for the European and North American events:

European Schedule

  • Regional One: Nov. 7 and 8, 14 and 15
  • Regional Two: Dec. 3 to 6
  • Regional Three: Jan. 9 and 10, 16 and 17
