Collegiate Rocket League makes a comeback on October 6

Collegiate Rocket League Returns with $100,000 in Scholarships for Fall 2020

Collegiate Rocket League is gearing up for an exciting fall season, set to kick off on October 6th. With over $100,000 in scholastic awards up for grabs, this season promises to be a thrilling one.

Registration is now open for eligible universities looking to compete in the next season of CRL. Qualifiers will begin in late September, and interested teams can sign up to secure their spot.

To secure a spot in the CRL National Championship, teams will participate in two qualifying rounds on September 20th and 27th. A total of 16 teams will qualify for the Eastern and Western Conferences, making a total of 32 teams. These teams will then compete in a round-robin format leading up to the National Championship in January 2021.

The main event will begin on October 6th and continue every weekend until November 17th, when the playoffs begin. Additionally, players can qualify for the CRL National Championship by taking part in the new CRL Wildcard.

Any teams from the CRL who don’t make it to the National Championship, as well as teams from other collegiate leagues such as PlayVS and the National Association of Collegiate Esports, will have the opportunity to participate in a special event in December. More details about this event, including how CRL Wildcard invites will be distributed, will be announced soon.
