Players lose days of progress due to a ‘major issue’ in Palworld

Palworld players on official servers have experienced a significant setback in their progress due to a “major issue” that led to a rollback.

A bug impacted the saved data of official Palworld servers across all regions, resulting in a rollback of four days. Consequently, any achievements within that timeframe were lost.

The Palworld official Discord shared details about the incident, stating that a “major issue occurred” on June 10 at 11pm PT, making it challenging to load the server save data correctly.

To address this issue, it was determined that a rollback of the save data was necessary. The servers were restored to their save state from June 6 at 2pm CT to ensure functionality. While this problem does not affect players on community servers or in single-player mode, those on official servers have lost hours of progress depending on their activity during the rollback period.

This occurrence comes shortly after the highly anticipated summer Palworld update, which was revealed during Summer Game Fest. The update introduces a new region inspired by Japan, additional collectible Pals, and bigger raid plans. The Sakurajima update for Palworld is scheduled for release on June 27. Players who dedicated their weekend to progressing in the game in preparation for the new content release have now lost their accomplishments.

As a result, all progress made with new Pals, raid achievements, and gathered materials has been erased. This is particularly frustrating for players who managed to obtain rare loot drops. PocketPair, the developer of Palworld, has not announced any compensation for the lost progress.
