Confusion arises as one feature in Palworld’s Raid update fails to function properly

Palworld’s Latest Raid Update and the Issue with Negative Pal Statuses

The most recent update in Palworld introduced a supposedly non-medical solution to eliminate Negative Pal statuses. Unfortunately, players have reported that this new method is not working as intended.

Keeping Pals in the Pal Box

According to the patch notes, keeping Pals in the Pal Box should remove any Negative Pal statuses affecting them. However, players have experienced difficulties in getting rid of these statuses, even after keeping their Pals in the Pal Boxes for more than 24 hours in real-time. These reports have been shared on Steam and Reddit.

Inconsistencies and Test Results

To shed more light on the issue, a player in a Steam thread shared their experience of successfully curing the Depressed status using the Pal Box method but failing to get rid of the Weakened status. In an attempt to uncover the truth, the author of this article conducted their own experiment using the Monitoring Stand in Palworld. By demanding Super Hard Work from their Pals, they triggered various Negative statuses such as Overall, Depressed, Fractured, and Sprained. Unfortunately, finding a definitive solution proved to be more challenging than expected.

While the author managed to cure Depressed, Weakened, and Fracture using this method, they still have Pals with Overfull Fuack and Lifmunk, as well as a Sprained Fenglope and Vanwrym Cryst, waiting in the Pal Box. Curiously, high-grade statuses like Depressed and Fracture could be cured, but those that can be treated with Low Grade Medical Supplies remain.

The Inconsistent Mechanic and the Lack of Information

Based on the author’s findings and the experiences shared by other players, it is evident that the newly introduced mechanic is inconsistent. On top of that, Pocketpair, the developers of Palworld, did not provide specific details on how long a player should keep a sick Pal in the Pal Box to remove a Negative status. While it is expected that this process would take a significant amount of time, some indication of the duration would have been helpful.

Alternative Solutions

In the absence of clarity regarding the issue, players who lack the patience to wait and experiment can utilize the Medieval Medicinal Workbench to craft the required medicines instead. This provides a more reliable and immediate solution for dealing with Negative Pal statuses in Palworld.
