The author highlighted 10 points that make battling the faction unenjoyable. They emphasized the difference in playstyles between fighting bugs and bots and how the bots force players to prioritize survival over horde control.
Grievances and Challenges
In addition to the playstyle differences, the author listed other grievances, such as the ability of even the weakest Automaton to take players out instantly with a headshot. They also mentioned the extreme difficulty of defense or extraction missions, which often make it impossible for players to complete them with random allies. The author also pointed out that the game’s advertising focuses primarily on bugs, further highlighting the disparity between fighting bots and bugs.
Other players chimed in with their own complaints about Automatons. The accuracy and frequency of Heavy Devastators spawning, along with their ability to flank players, were major concerns. Interestingly, even in a post asking players to leave Bugdivers alone, there were still comments hating on them.
