Fire Tornadoes Pose a Greater Threat than Flying Bugs in Helldivers 2

The Devs of Helldivers 2 Introduce Terrifying Fire Tornadoes in Recent Update

In a recent update, the developers of Helldivers 2 introduced impactful weather effects. However, the most extreme of these events has now appeared in the form of terrifying and destructive fire tornadoes.

Fire Tornadoes Spotted on Planet Hellmire in the Mirin Sector

Players have reported that fire tornadoes have been spotted on the planet Hellmire in the Mirin sector, appropriately named for its harsh conditions. The planet experiences scorching temperatures, high winds, and low precipitation, resulting in a near-constant cycle of fires. After a visit to the planet’s surface, it is confirmed that the fire tornadoes are both present and ruthless.

Unrelenting Fire Tornadoes in Helldivers 2

Similar to actual wildfires, the fire tornadoes in Helldivers 2 start small but quickly escalate into raging infernos. They grow larger and leave a fiery path behind them. It can feel like the fire tornadoes are actively following and trying to target the player. Directly getting hit by a fire tornado is likely to result in instant death, and the aftermath of the tornado’s path can make retrieving items or support weapons a nightmare.

Fire Tornadoes as Formidable Enemies

The good news is that fire tornadoes are equally destructive against the bugs in the game. If players can avoid them, fire tornadoes can be used as uncontrollable orbital lasers against their enemies.

This continuous stream of updates and fresh effects in Helldivers 2 is a major factor in the game’s success over the past month. It keeps players engaged and motivated to complete challenging missions at a rapid pace.
