GTA 6: It’s Not for Kids
Another entry in the Grand Theft Auto series has sparked controversy, with calls to ban the game already circulating. There are concerns about the game’s content and the inclusion of scantily clad characters, but it’s important to remember one thing: GTA is not meant for kids.
#BanGTA6 has been trending on Twitter, attracting a range of opinions. Some individuals simply dislike the revealing outfits featured in the trailer, while others take issue with the game’s decision to have a female protagonist. However, I have a message for concerned parents: video games have age ratings for a reason. When GTA 6 launches, it will likely be designated as an 18+ game. So, it’s crucial to understand that this game is not suitable for children. While your kids may express a desire to play it, they may also want to eat chocolate cake for breakfast – but as responsible parents, we know that’s not a healthy choice. The same logic applies here: don’t buy them this game. It’s as simple as that.
Although your children might protest, it’s essential to establish boundaries and teach them what is and isn’t appropriate. It isn’t the responsibility of every adult to ensure that all media is child-friendly. While children are our future, it’s important to provide them with films and games that are designed for their age and level of understanding.

Interestingly, if you search the hashtag #BanGTA6, you’ll find that most of the posts are from individuals who are either mocking those who want to ban the game or trying to gain visibility for their own content. In essence, the hashtag serves little purpose. It’s astonishing that, even after 10 years since the previous GTA game, this series still stirs up controversy among certain individuals.
