Speculation grows among GTA 6 fans about an expansive map surpassing Red Dead Redemption 2

Grand Theft Auto 6’s Map Size Could be Bigger Than Ever Before

Grand Theft Auto 6, the highly anticipated game from Rockstar, may have a map size that surpasses even its predecessors, Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5.

According to keen gamers on a GTA forum, who meticulously analyzed the game’s trailer frame by frame, it seems that GTA 6’s map heavily resembles the state of Florida. Noteworthy landmarks and areas resembling those in the Sunshine State were discovered, suggesting that the map will be much larger than before, even surpassing the size of Red Dead Redemption 2.

These dedicated GTA players have examined every detail of the trailer, from roads and buildings to license plates. They’ve even pinpointed exact locations on the potential GTA 6 map, such as the Leonida State Prison. The ever-changing design of the map includes roads, suburbs, railways, mountains, and bodies of water, with new additions being discovered daily.

The similarities between GTA 6 and Florida were evident in the December 4 trailer. Several scenes featured classic Florida references, like a woman twerking on top of a car, a terrifying woman wielding hammers, and an alligator being wrangled from a pool. Considering that Vice City in previous games was based on Miami, it becomes somewhat feasible to estimate the size of the map.

For those who haven’t played Rockstar’s previous titles, GTA V’s map size is already enormous. It takes roughly 20 minutes to travel along the highway on the outskirts of the map in a loop. Compared to that, traveling from the top to the bottom of Red Dead Redemption 2 would take around 16 minutes, assuming you avoid gunfights.

However, it’s important to remember that these calculations and hypotheses about GTA 6’s map are based on just one trailer. We still have very little information about the story or the map itself. As the release date approaches and we get closer to the next trailer, more details will be revealed, giving us a clearer picture of GTA 6’s map.
