Rockstar Aims for Holiday 2024 Release, Hints GTA Insider

Grand Theft Auto VI Rumored to be Announced This Year with 2024 Release Date

A renowned insider from Rockstar, Tez2, has hinted that an official announcement for Grand Theft Auto VI is on the horizon, with a potential release date set for 2024 or early 2025.

Tez2 recently leaked some details about the highly anticipated game, revealing that Rockstar is aiming for a holiday release in 2024. However, there is a possibility that the release could be pushed back to early 2025.

The insider also mentioned that an announcement for the game may come this year, as many employees have returned to the office and Rockstar is striving to get back to pre-pandemic work standards. While Tez2 believes an announcement is likely, he acknowledges that losing key talent could potentially cause further delays.

Regarding potential delays, Tez2 stated, “I don’t think upper management is in a position to delay further to holiday 2025/2026. Cutting more portions of the game to package into DLCs for later release may be a more sustainable option for management.”

Concerns Over Rushed Release and DLC Approach

The release of Grand Theft Auto V in 2013 means that this year marks its 10th anniversary. With the community eagerly awaiting fresh content, there are mixed opinions on Rockstar’s approach.

Leaks about GTA VI’s release and development were shared on the game’s subreddit, raising concerns among players. Some expressed worry over a rushed release and the inclusion of large portions of the game as DLCs. They would prefer the developers to take their time and release the game according to their initial plans.
