Real-Life Joker in Florida Reacts to Spotting Lookalike in ‘GTA’ Trailer: Let’s Have a Chat

Miami Joker Reacts to GTA 6 Trailer Featuring Lookalike

The notorious “Miami Joker” known for his distinct face tattoos and green hair recently discovered a character in the GTA 6 trailer who bears a striking resemblance to him, and he didn’t seem too thrilled about it.

Unhappy Miami Joker Takes to TikTok

In a video posted on his TikTok account on December 5, Lawrence P. Sullivan (aka the Miami Joker) expressed his dissatisfaction. He called out GTA for drawing inspiration from his unique appearance, saying, “You know they got that character with the face tattoos, you know who they got that inspired by. … Florida Joker, Miami Joker, you know what I’m talking about. GTA, we gotta talk.” The video quickly garnered attention and stirred up reactions from viewers.

A Surprising Resemblance

Not much else is known about Sullivan’s reaction apart from him sharing articles about the video. It’s worth noting that both he and the GTA character sport similar face tattoos, giving rise to the resemblance. The character appears briefly in the game’s trailer, featured on a fictitious Spanish-speaking TV channel with a banner that reads “Confession written in ink,” highlighting how his tattoos ultimately led to his conviction.

Florida’s Influence in GTA 6

The GTA 6 trailer contains a multitude of references, including peculiar events that took place in Florida, such as Sullivan’s story. The game will once again be set in Vice City, which draws inspiration from the Sunshine State and specifically, Miami.

Moreover, the real-life Florida Joker gained notoriety in 2017 after being convicted in Miami. His mugshot, showcasing his vibrant green hair and extensive face tattoos, sparked comparisons to the infamous Joker from DC Comics. Some players speculated that Sullivan might seek compensation for being parodied in the trailer, although it seems unlikely due to the character’s differing facial tattoos. It remains unclear whether the game developer reached out to Sullivan prior to including the character in the trailer.
