Rockstar’s popular multiplayer game, Grand Theft Auto Online, has maintained an active community for eight years. Now, players are calling for the inclusion of accessible restaurants in the city of Los Santos.
In the vast city of Los Santos and its surrounding area of Blaine County, players can explore various locations such as barber shops and weapon stores. However, restaurants in the game are currently closed off and inaccessible to players.
In past iterations of the GTA series, including GTA 4 and San Andreas, players were able to enter fast food chains like Burger Shot and Cluckin’ Bell. These iconic locations had complete interiors where players could engage in activities like holding up cashiers or staging gunfights.
The absence of restaurant interiors in GTA 5 and GTA Online has drawn attention from the game’s dedicated player base. Reddit user SwordfishOK5282 recently highlighted this issue, stating that having accessible interiors for restaurants like Burger Shot and Cluckin’ Bell would add more life and realism to the game.

As the post gained traction on the GTA Online subreddit, other players voiced their agreement and suggested practical uses for these closed restaurants. One player suggested that restaurants could offer temporary buffs and improved healing when players order food.
Despite the enthusiasm of some players, others doubted that Rockstar would reintroduce this beloved feature. The top commenter expressed skepticism, believing that Rockstar would simply refer players to their previous titles instead.
Accessible restaurants are just one of the many quality-of-life changes that GTA Online players have requested. While it may seem like a minor inclusion, fans remain hopeful that future updates or versions of the game will allow them to once again visit restaurants in Los Santos.
