GTA enthusiasts have low expectations for the reveal trailer, yet remain eager to witness it.

Rumored GTA 6 Trailer Debut at The Game Awards 2023

Rumors are swirling that the highly anticipated GTA 6 will make its debut at The Game Awards 2023. Although fans aren’t expecting much from the trailer, excitement is still building.

Will the Trailer Show Much?

As fans eagerly await the rumored TGA trailer, people on Reddit have been discussing the first teasers Rockstar typically releases for its GTA games. Some users speculate that the trailer may not reveal much, possibly showing only 40 seconds of landscapes and city buildings.

They may be onto something. In the initial reveal trailer for GTA 4, most of the shots focused on Liberty City itself, with a short narration from Niko Belic teasing the protagonist. The GTA 5 trailer followed a similar pattern, featuring a voiceover from Michael and shots of sunny Los Santos, as well as action clips from heists and missions. So, if a GTA 6 reveal trailer does premiere at TGA, it will likely mainly showcase the setting, a character or two, and perhaps some cinematics or curated gameplay.

Interestingly, some fans are perfectly fine with this approach. One Reddit user stated, “Rockstar always introduces the true main character of all their games in the first trailer: the world itself.” This sentiment highlights the immersive worlds that GTA is known for, where the cities play a fundamental role in shaping the game’s character.

Speculating on Missions

Aside from the trailer, fans have started speculating on the types of missions that GTA 6 will offer. While some suggest college lectures as possible missions, others, like myself, are more interested in seeing missions involving kids and crimes. Hopefully, future trailers will shed some light on this aspect of the game.
