Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition Coming to Xbox Game Pass

Starting on November 11, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have the opportunity to play the iconic game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition. This coincides with Rockstar Games’ digital release of the entire trilogy for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

PlayStation Players Will Also Get a Taste

While Xbox Game Pass subscribers get to enjoy Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition, PlayStation players won’t be left out. Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition will be available on PS Now starting from December 7. It’s unclear whether Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition will be released on either of these services at a later date.

Enhancements and Upgrades for the Trilogy

The remastered edition of the acclaimed GTA trilogy brings various improvements and enhancements. Players can expect upgraded controls, graphic enhancements such as resolution upgrades, and improved visual fidelity of the game’s cities. Additionally, mechanics like the mini-maps have been upgraded, allowing players to set waypoints in GTA III and GTA: Vice City, which was not possible in the previous versions.

A Fresh Look While Preserving the Original Aesthetic

Despite the graphical changes, Rockstar Games wanted to maintain the beloved GTA trilogy’s original aesthetic. Upon a closer look at the comparison shots, you’ll notice that the colors are more vibrant and vivid, while still retaining the original character concepts.
