Does Elon Musk recognize that video games aren’t reality?

Musk Refuses to Play GTA 5 Because of Opening Scene

Video games can evoke powerful emotions within players due to their ability to actively engage them in the story. However, Elon Musk seems to have a different perspective. In a now-infamous tweet, Musk revealed that he never completed GTA 5 because he did not want to shoot police officers in the opening scene. This raises the question of whether video game actions reflect real-world character. It’s important to remember that video games are fictional and the characters within them do not have real lives or families.

Musk’s claim of not liking to engage in criminal activities contradicts the image he tries to portray as an eccentric rule-breaker. Remember, this is the same man who smoked marijuana during a podcast. Unsurprisingly, Musk’s tweet was met with heavy criticism. Hard Drive cleverly responded with, “thank you for your service, Mr. GTA police officer sir.” The managing editor of GameSpot, Tamoor Hussain, bluntly stated that Musk always manages to look like a loser on the internet.

No one appreciates it when someone goes against the grain and expresses their dislike for something that everyone else enjoys. Especially when the reason behind it is as trivial as not wanting to commit crimes in a game aptly named Grand Theft Auto.
