A New Secret Battle Star in Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 8
Fortnite: Battle Royale players who have completed five full sets of weekly challenges in season eight can now unlock a secret Battle Star. This new Battle Star was introduced with the week five challenges, allowing players to obtain a new loading screen after completing all three free and four premium Battle Pass challenges. The Battle Star can be found on the Fortnite island in any core game mode or non-Playground Battle Royale mode, such as Solo, Duos, Squads, or big-team modes like Team Rumble.
Requirements to Unlock the Secret Battle Star
Simply completing the week five challenges alone will not reveal the secret Battle Star. Players must complete five full sets of weekly challenges in order to see and unlock it. If you’re attempting to find it after only five sets are available, you’ll need to finish all sets. However, once more sets become available, completing any five sets will be sufficient. It’s important to note that only players with the premium Battle Pass can see and unlock secret items, as they are the ones who have access to all weekly challenges.
Locating the Secret Battle Star
A clue to the location of the secret Battle Star can be found in the week five loading screen. The screen depicts Ember using a bow near the volcano in the northeast area of the map, with lava falling in the background and a transparent icon next to a tree. This indicates the area where the secret Battle Star is located on the Fortnite island. To find it, head south of the volcano and observe the Battle Star icon floating between two lava falls, closer to the left one. Look for a small area with different soil, as this is where the Battle Star can be found.
