The sixth season of Fortnite: Battle Royale is coming to an end this week, with season seven set to begin on December 6th. In the new season, players will start fresh with a brand-new challenge on a potentially different Fortnite island. While some challenges and progression will be reset, outfit-specific challenges will still remain.
Clues and Speculation for Season Seven
Although Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, has not confirmed any details about season seven, there are several clues in the game that hint at what players might expect to see. Based on previous seasons, there are many guesses we can make about the changes that will occur.
New Named Location: Iceberg and Castle
An iceberg with a castle on top is currently making its way towards the Fortnite island. The ice mass is moving from the southwest towards Flush Factory. Screenshots taken by FortniteIntel show a structure resembling a castle or towers with lights on inside. This development follows the appearance of a strange white cloud in the same area two weeks ago, which was later revealed to be the iceberg.
Winter-Themed Map Revamp
Considering the iceberg’s proximity to a white cloud, it is possible that it will bring a winter theme to the Fortnite island. With the holiday season approaching and winter about to begin in the real world, it would make sense to have snow-covered areas and Christmas decorations in the game.
Fortnite previously had a Halloween-themed season with special events and decorations, so it is likely that a holiday-themed event will also take place.
Christmas-Themed Events and Limited Time Modes
Following the success of the Halloween event, Fortnitemares, players are eagerly awaiting more Fortnite events themed after real-world holidays and celebrations. It is highly probable that a Christmas-themed event will take place during season seven, possibly lasting for several weeks. This event may introduce a new game mode or a limited time mode featuring snow.
New Battle Pass and Progressive Outfits
Players can expect a new Battle Pass in season seven, which will offer exclusive items that were previously unavailable.
