What to Expect Tomorrow: Fortnite’s 6.30 Update on the Horizon

Epic Games’ Fortnite 6.30 Update Delayed till Wednesday

The highly anticipated 6.30 update for Fortnite, usually released on Tuesdays, has been pushed to Wednesday morning this time. Similar to the release of the 6.20 update and Fortnitemares, Epic Games has chosen a different schedule.

Epic Games follows a pattern of one major update with significant changes and additions, followed by two smaller updates with minor tweaks. As version 6.20 was the most recent major update, and versions 6.21 and 6.22 followed, it is unlikely that a 6.23 update will be released.

In line with Epic Games’ update pattern, assuming the release of 6.30 tomorrow, there are some expectations. The ongoing Durrr Burger versus Tomato Town food truck war, where both food joints have parked their trucks in front of the soccer field north of Greasy Grove, might come to an end. With players being asked to pick a side between the Durrr Burger character Beef Boss and the Tomatohead from Tomato Town and Temple, it seems like a new Limited Time Mode could be introduced, such as a special 50-vs-50 event where each side represents one of the food joints in Fortnite’s Food Truck War I.

Epic Games is surely preparing something related to these food joints, although it’s uncertain what exactly it is.

One thing that is almost certain to come with the 6.30 update is the Mounted Turret. It is already listed in the in-game News tab as “coming soon,” which indicates that players will finally get to experience this new gun and understand how it works.

While some areas and items on the map are bound to remain due to ongoing Battle Pass challenges, there is still a possibility that certain weapons or items will be removed and placed in the vault. Epic Games often adds new items while removing others to ensure a constantly changing meta. Mobility items like the Jump Pad might be among the ones to go, or there could be balance changes to strengthen or weaken certain guns.

Fortnite players will have to wait until tomorrow morning for the release of the 6.30 update to see what changes Epic Games has planned for the map, events, and weapons. The update is expected to launch in all regions and consoles.
