What to Expect in Fortnite’s Upcoming Content Update: v7.30

v7.30 Content Update: What to Expect

Epic Games is gearing up for the release of a new game update for Fortnite. Originally thought to be the v7.40 update, Epic announced on their Twitter account that a Content Update for v7.30 is coming instead. While the change in version number may not have a significant impact on what players can expect, there are a few hints and leaks that give us an idea of what might be coming in the update.

Bottle Rockets

One of the anticipated additions in the v7.30 Content Update is the introduction of Bottle Rockets to Fortnite: Battle Royale. Although details are scarce, the in-game News tab describes them as “loud, bright, and dangerous.” It is speculated that Bottle Rockets will function as trap items that players can control similarly to the Mounted Turret. While their inclusion in the update hasn’t been officially confirmed, Epic usually adds teased items in the following update.

Foraged Campfires

The inclusion of Foraged Campfires in the update has been hinted at since the release of v7.30. These campfires are spread throughout the Fortnite island, but players haven’t been able to light them up. However, Epic has revealed that they will be available in the upcoming Content Update. These campfires will not only provide a cozy atmosphere but also serve as healing items similar to the Cozy Campfire that players can carry. Some speculate that lighting these campfires may have a connection to the third stage of The Prisoner skin.

Aim Assist Cooldown

Aim assist abuse has been a concern for Fortnite players using controllers. By spamming aim down sights, players can turn aim assist into a soft aimbot, making it easier to land shots on enemies. Epic has acknowledged this issue and plans to address it in the v7.40 update by adding a short cooldown to the aim assist effect. However, if the issue is pressing, it may be added to the game in the upcoming Content Update.

Lunar New Year Celebration

Leakers have discovered four upcoming events in Fortnite after the v7.30 update: Festivus, Football, Earthquake, and New Year. Festivus was the codename for Marshmello’s concert at Pleasant Park, while Football referred to the Super Bowl event. There are speculations that Earthquake events may lead up to the end of season seven. As for New Year, it remains a mystery. With the Lunar New Year celebrations starting in China tomorrow, it’s likely that Fortnite will celebrate this period with small map changes and new skins, just like other games such as Overwatch and League of Legends.

Leaks and Speculations

Fortnite data miners have been hard at work, leaking information about upcoming skins, challenges, and even entire character models and events. As we near the end of season seven, we can expect more leaks about the event that will conclude the season and possibly more information about the role of The Prisoner in the game’s lore. There may even be answers to mysteries like the dragon eggs.

All of these speculations will be confirmed when the v7.30 Content Update goes live tomorrow.
