Virtus Pro Joins Fortnite Competitive Scene, Secures Duo Squad

Virtus Pro Enters the Fortnite Esports Scene

Virtus Pro, the popular Russian organization, has made a move into the world of Fortnite: Battle Royale esports. The team has signed Artur “7ssk7” Kyourshin and Jamal “Jamside” Saidayev, who will represent Virtus Pro in the game until the end of 2019, according to the official VP press release.

Following in the footsteps of Fnatic and Team Secret, Virtus Pro’s newest lineup is expected to compete in the Fortnite World Cup. This tournament will bring together the best pairs from around the world and is set to launch later this year.

Virtus Pro is known for its success in games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2, with the Dota 2 team being particularly strong heading into The International 8 next month after winning several events in the past year.

Despite not having achieved much in Fortnite so far, Virtus Pro has expressed great confidence in its new team. The organization’s general manager, Roman Dvoryankin, stated that they have been planning and preparing for their entry into Fortnite for a long time. He also mentioned that the signed players, Artur and Jamal, have consistently shown impressive results even before joining Virtus Pro.

Although Virtus Pro has currently only signed two players and the Fortnite World Cup won’t include a Squad competition, the organization remains open to signing more players.

Whether or not additional players join, Virtus Pro will undoubtedly strive for the same level of success in Fortnite that it has achieved in games like CS:GO and Dota 2.
