UPDATE: Fortnite Monopoly unveils its game board.

Fortnite Monopoly: A New Twist on a Classic Game

The popular game Fortnite has taken the world by storm, capturing the attention of players across various platforms. Now, it seems that Fortnite is expanding its reach into a new realm—the world of table-top gaming.

According to Eurogamer, a pre-order listing for Fortnite Monopoly was recently spotted on the online retailer Zavvi. However, the listing has since been taken down. Despite this, several images of the game were discovered before its disappearance. The legitimacy of the game was later confirmed by Epic Games Associate Director Wes Phillips on @FortniteBattle’s Twitter account.

Exciting New Features

Fortnite Monopoly offers some exciting changes compared to the traditional version of the game. Instead of the usual pewter pieces, the game utilizes cardboard cut-outs as characters. Health points replace money, and walls can be used to protect your space from other players. There’s even the added thrill of boogie bombs that make everyone lose a life, as reported by Eurogamer.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. In addition to Fortnite Monopoly, Phillips also revealed on Twitter that Fortnite-branded NERF toys will be available next year.

Bringing Board Games to a New Generation

Fortnite Monopoly has the potential to introduce board games to a younger generation who have grown up solely on digital games. It’s a simple concept—taking locations from the Fortnite game and incorporating them into the board game. Imagine buying and selling properties like Tilted Towers, Greasy Grove, or Paradise Palms. The possibilities are endless, and it opens the door for more creative adaptations in the future.

So mark your calendars—Fortnite Monopoly is set to be released on October 1st, according to My Nintendo News.
