New Exclusive Fortnite: Battle Royale Skin for Samsung Smartphone Owners
Owners of Samsung smartphones have the opportunity to unlock a new exclusive skin for Fortnite: Battle Royale. This time, the skin is only available to users who pre-order or purchase a phone from the Galaxy S10 series after its release.
Purchasers of eligible devices will receive the iKONIK outfit, inspired by the K-pop band iKON, as well as the Scenario dance emote. The outfit is based on singer Jung Chanwoo, while the dance emote features moves created by the musicians of iKON for their songs.
To claim their exclusive outfit and emote, players who buy a Galaxy S10e, S10, or S10+ must follow a few steps in their Epic account.
Eligible Purchases
Not all purchases of the Galaxy S10 series will unlock these exclusive cosmetic items. Samsung states that players must buy from participating retailers, without specifying who they are.
Players who purchase directly from the Samsung store will definitely receive these cosmetics. Otherwise, it is advisable to check with the store selling the device if they are a participating retailer. Online stores may have indicators that they are participating in this promotion.
How to Unlock the iKONIK Outfit
The iKONIK outfit will be unlockable when the Galaxy S10 phones are released on March 8. Players must use one of these smartphones to unlock it.
To unlock the iKONIK outfit, players must download Fortnite on their Samsung S10 device from the Epic Games website and launch the game. They should then sign in to their Epic Games account and go to the Store tab to find the iKONIK outfit. After claiming it, the outfit will be available in the Locker tab under Account and Equipment. If a credit card is not registered in the Epic Games account, it must be added, but there will be no charge according to Samsung.
If the Epic Games account used to claim the outfit is also used to play on other platforms, the outfit will also be available on those platforms.
Players have until December 31 of this year to purchase an S10 from a participating retailer and claim the iKONIK outfit. Purchases made after this period will not include the offer, and players who fail to claim the outfit by that date will lose their right to obtain it.
This Galaxy S10 skin offer begins on March 8.
