TSM Vinny1x and ZexRow Take the Lead in ESL Katowice Royale Duos Tournament Day 1

TSM’s Vinny1x and ZexRow Hold Lead in $400,000 ESL Katowice Fortnite Duos Event

TSM’s Vinny “Vinny1x” Gilgan and Anthony “ZexRow” Colandro are currently leading in the $400,000 ESL Katowice Fortnite: Battle Royale Duos event. They have a 48-point lead over the second-place pairing for Virtus Pro, Artur “7ssk7” Kyourshin and Jamal “Jamside” Saidayev.

If Vinny1x and ZexRow are able to maintain their lead on Sunday, Vinny1x will achieve a sweep of the ESL Katowice Royale events, as he won the Solo tournament on Friday.

Notable Players in the Top 10

Rocco “Saf” Morales and Timothy “Bizzle” Miller are also among the top contenders, currently sitting inside the top 10 with their respective partners.

Different Scoring System

This tournament has a different scoring system compared to the Skirmish events. However, the same concept applies, with Victory Royales, eliminations, and high placements all contributing to a player’s score. The main difference is that the points for each category have been increased.

Victory Royales are now worth 65 points, while a top five finish is guaranteed a minimum of 44 points. Even the last-place team receives a small reward of five points. Each elimination is also worth five points, incentivizing players to go for more kills.

Final Games to Determine Winners

The 25 teams will play another seven games on Sunday to decide who will claim the $80,000 grand prize. All teams within the top 20 will earn at least $4,000, ensuring that only the bottom five pairs will not receive any part of the prize pool.
