Team Liquid’s 72hrs and Chap Take Home the Title in Fortnite Fall Skirmish
Thomas “72hrs” Mulligan and Ryan “Chap” Chaplo from Team Liquid emerged as the champions of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish event on Friday, claiming the $67,500 grand prize in the process.
72hrs and Chap secured their victory over the runners-up Jason “Tennp0” Wang and Brendan “Jaomock” O’Brien, as well as King Richard, teammate Adam “Strafesh0t” Crawford, and Nate Hill, all of whom finished within the prize money. The Liquid duo also earned a share of the $25,000 bonus for the most eliminations in a single match, tying with players from Team Envy, Ghost Gaming, and Spacestation Gaming.
European Victory Goes to French Pair Madzen and Blax
In the European leg of the competition, Jeremy “Madzen” Fournier and Maxime “Blax” Thomas from Gentside Esports Club claimed the top prize. Their win, along with that of 72hrs and Chap, contributed significantly to the total points of Bush Bandits, their club in the Fall Skirmish.
During Friday’s tournament, players earned points across six games. A Victory Royale or an eight-kill game earned three points, while top five finishes and games with at least four eliminations were awarded a lesser amount of points. Duos had the opportunity to earn an extra two points and a $10,000 bonus with a Victory Royale and eight eliminations in a single game.
Bush Bandits Lead the Pack in Club Standings
The addition of clubs in the Fall Skirmish series allows them to accumulate points through their representing players. Both sets of winners belong to the Bush Bandits club, which currently holds a 320-point lead over second-place club Fort Knights. Dusty Dogs sits in third place, while Rift Raiders and Lucky Llamas claim the last two spots in the standings.
Week five of the Fall Skirmish has now concluded with Friday’s tournament. The final showdown will take place at TwitchCon, starting on October 26th in San Jose, California.
