Team Envy Releases KingRichard, Signs New Fortnite Roster

Following in the footsteps of TSM, Team Envy has made changes to its Fortnite squad, parting ways with KingRichard and welcoming a new esports roster. The revamped Envy Fortnite team now includes Nicholas Scatch, David “LeNain” Bois, Bradley “Shotang” Leo, and Nicolas “TAPLY” Chiodoni. Scatch will take over as the captain of Envy’s Fortnite team.

“We’ve worked tirelessly for this and the Fortnite esports community will witness our dedication during matches,” said Scatch. “We will strive for the top in every tournament. No excuses. We’re thrilled to represent Team Envy as we continue our grind.”

KingRichard initially joined Envy as the captain of the Fortnite team on May 2nd, and even emerged victorious in the Friday Fortnite tournament on July 13th.

By signing KingRichard in early May, Team Envy entered the Fortnite esports scene prior to Epic Games’ announcement of a $100 million prize pool for the 2018-2019 season. Many other esports organizations, such as OpTic Gaming, Team Liquid, TSM, FaZe Clan, and 100 Thieves, have since signed competitive Fortnite rosters.

Fans will be eager to see KingRichard’s future endeavors and how the new Team Envy Fortnite lineup performs in the upcoming tournaments of Epic Games’ inaugural season.

Update: TAPLY to be replaced by Myles “Gorilla” Cayenne on the active Fortnite roster due to family issues.

Envy’s starting Fortnite lineup now consists of Scatch, LeNain, Shotang, and Gorilla.
