Fortnite: Battle Royale Datamine Reveals New Items Coming Soon
In a recent datamine of Fortnite: Battle Royale, some exciting new items were discovered, suggesting they could be added to the game in the near future.
The datamine, conducted by @FNBRLeaks on Twitter, revealed the Stink Bomb and Ceiling Drop Trap. While the latter is already available in the PvE Save the World game mode, the Stink Bomb appears to be a new addition.
The Stink Bomb is different from the other grenades already in the game. Its description in the datamined files states, “hurls a grenade that unleashes a cloud of poison. Better clear out!”
The Ceiling Drop Trap, currently found in three rarity levels in Save the World mode, is designed to drop a series of tires on enemies from up to three tiles high.
Comparatively, the only trap in Fortnite: Battle Royale mode is the Damage Trap, which deals 75 damage but is an Uncommon item. If the Ceiling Drop Trap is introduced as a Rare, Epic, or Legendary item, it is likely to have significantly greater damage than the recently-nerfed Damage Trap.
After the introduction of the polarizing Jetpack as a limited-time item, Fortnite: Battle Royale fans are eagerly awaiting the next addition from Epic Games.
