Epic Games Confirms Reboot Vans Coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale
Epic Games has announced that Reboot Vans will be added to Fortnite: Battle Royale in the upcoming v8.30 update. The announcement was made in a Dev Update on the company’s YouTube channel.
Resurrect Allies with the Reboot Van
The Reboot Van will allow players in Duos, Trios, and Squads modes to bring back their eliminated teammates. To do this, one of the surviving players will need to pick up a Reboot Card dropped by the eliminated player. Then, the Reboot Van can be used to revive the fallen teammate.
Reboot Vans’ Locations and Activation
Reboot Vans will be strategically placed throughout the Fortnite island in major points of interest. When activated, a beacon of light will appear in the sky to alert other players. The respawned players will appear one by one on top of the van.
Recharge and Availability
After a Reboot Van is used, it will be unavailable for a short period while it recharges, and then it can be activated again.
It is currently unclear if respawned players will retain their inventory.
Although the Reboot Van has been teased in official Fortnite tournaments, its availability in competitive Duos Arena and competitions has not been confirmed by Epic Games.
