Get Ready for the World Cup with Fortnite’s New Skins!
The World Cup, the biggest soccer competition of the calendar, is just around the corner. And it seems like Epic Games is just as excited as we are, judging by some leaked skins from the latest Fortnite patch. These skins were discovered by TwoEpicBuddies on Twitter through data mining.
According to the leaked information, there are at least eight soccer-themed skins, each featuring a collage of national flags in the background. However, it’s not just the flags of the teams participating in this month’s World Cup.
With the World Cup kicking off on Thursday, it’s highly likely that these new skins will be available either before or around that day, similar to the recent basketball skins released for the NBA finals.
Apart from the soccer-themed skins, several other skins have been datamined from the patch. These include the names Visitor, Dark Eagle, Dark Ninja, and WWII Pilot. The far-right skin with its period outfit and gas mask is clearly the WWII Pilot. The two in the middle are likely the Dark skins. As for the mysterious skin on the left, it looks amazing and is probably the Eagle skin, which resembles Fortnite’s Ninja class in Save the World. The remaining skin on the far left is probably Visitor, possibly part of another skin and V-Buck bundle.
Aside from the skins, the patch also introduces new back blings, pickaxes, and gliders, some of which are soccer-themed and connected to the new skins. Others, like the intriguing horn contraption on the far left, have unique designs.
Additionally, there are two new soccer emotes: Soccer Juggling and Red Card. The Cry emote might also be soccer-related, perfect for when your team loses. And if you’re a fan of the Rex and Tricer-ops skins, you’ll love the new T-Rex emote. Lastly, Fortnite players can now pop and lock it with a new emote. There are also leaked videos of emotes called Waterworks and Kick Ups, which could be alternate names for Soccer Juggling and Cry, respectively.
These new cosmetics are expected to be available in the game within the next week or so. Just keep an eye out for their release!
