Upon touching the butterfly, players were transported back to the battle royale map above Fatal Fields. The butterfly’s appearance suggests that it could serve as a portal between different dimensions, resembling a rift itself.
Possible Changes to Fatal Fields
The significance of Fatal Fields in this event is unclear. It may be related to the Visitor rocket launch event in season five, where a piece of the rocket’s engine landed in Anarchy Acres (now Lazy Links), which had the same layout as Fatal Fields. This could mean that Fatal Fields is either undergoing significant changes or being removed altogether.
A New Swamp on the Horizon?
Leaky Lake now features a rainbow and swampy terrain in place of the island and lake. This new area bears a resemblance to Moisty Mire, which was later replaced by Paradise Palms.
