Fortnite’s Waterbending Mythic Here to Stay Despite Star Wars Update
Are you tired of getting melted by Fortnite’s Waterbending technique in your matches? Well, brace yourself because the mythic is here to stay until the end of the season, as confirmed by prominent leaker iFiremonkey.
Avatar Mythics Vaulted, New Greek Mythics Added
iFiremonkey also announced that all Avatar mythics will be vaulted with the arrival of the Star Wars event on May 3, except for the infamous Waterbending. Additionally, players can look forward to new seasonal Greek mythics like Zeus Lightning Bolt, Chain of Hades, and Wings of Icarus joining Fortnite’s loot pool.
Player Reactions to Waterbending Mythic
Players have been expressing their frustration with the overpowered nature of the Waterbending mythic. One player on X (formerly Twitter) lamented, “I think I’m gonna cry cuz it’s genuinely so broken,” while another couldn’t wait to get ” lasered in 0.8 seconds from 300 yards away.” The oppressive nature of Waterbending in Fortnite has left many feeling helpless and annoyed.
On Reddit, a player shared, “Every game I’m getting killed with Waterbending, and it’s getting a bit annoying.”
Enhancements to Waterbending Mythic
Korra’s Waterbending, one of the earliest added Avatar mythics, is considered the best offensive mythic due to its pinpoint accuracy and zero fall-offs in medium to long-range fights. Epic Games has continuously buffed the mythic, increasing its fire rate, damage, headshot multiplier, and projectile speed to make it even more formidable.
Additionally, the mythic item passively heals players while on water, aiding in quick health regeneration. The Avatar Water Chakra challenges require players to use the mythic and restore their health, possibly explaining why it remains in the game.
Dealing with the Waterbending mythic, alongside Star Wars and God mythics returning to the map, will undoubtedly create chaos and mayhem for players.
