Fortnite Players to Receive New Variant of Counterattack Set
Players of Fortnite: Battle Royale who purchased the GeForce Fortnite Bundle will be receiving a new variant of the Counterattack set, according to a fan who shared a screenshot of a customer service message on Reddit.
Reddit user GoProVI posted a response from Epic Games’ customer service inquiring about the Counterattack set. This set includes the Reflex outfit, the Pivot glider, the Angular Axe pickaxe, and the Response Unit back bling. It was originally intended to be an exclusive bonus for players who bought select GeForce video cards from Nvidia.
However, despite being advertised as an exclusive pack, Epic later made the pack available for purchase in the Item Shop for all Fortnite players. This decision led to complaints from players who had bought the GeForce bundle. Epic admitted their mistake, stating, “Due to this mistake, we will be granting a new variant of the Counterattack set to all owners who have acquired the Counterattack set through the Nvidia Bundle.” They also added that more information about the new variant will be provided in the game when available.

In Fortnite, skin variants typically feature different colors or slight model changes that are noticeable compared to the base model. Epic’s statement about providing a new variant of the entire set means that players who bought the GeForce Fortnite Bundle can expect new models for all four cosmetic items.
Players who purchased the Counterattack set from the Item Shop will keep their items, but they will not receive the exclusive variants when they are released.
