Ninja Reveals Earnings of Almost $10 Million in 2018
Gaming sensation Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has disclosed that he earned close to $10 million in 2018 during an interview with CNN’s Dave Briggs.
In addition, Ninja admitted that he loses significant amounts of money when he’s not streaming, but on a good month, he makes well over $500,000. Since the interview was published on Dec. 31, these figures are the most accurate representation of his financial success in 2018.

According to Ninja, the majority of his streaming revenue comes from ads he showcases during his live gameplay. Additionally, his monthly income includes earnings from Twitch subscriptions, which range from $4.99 to $24.99 per subscriber based on their chosen payment plan.
Ninja has reached impressive milestones in his career. He became the first Twitch streamer to acquire 10 million followers in August 2018 and has since gained an additional 2.8 million. He boasts 20 million YouTube subscribers and approximately 60,000 Twitch subscribers, as mentioned in a recent video by Wired.
Ninja’s remarkable earnings are a result of his growing popularity. In 2018, he streamed Fortnite in Times Square for the New Year’s Eve ball drop, made appearances on various TV shows, and set a Twitch record for concurrent viewers when he played alongside rapper Drake.
While Ninja did not reveal the specific breakdown of his revenue sources, he emphasized that to maintain his viewers, subscribers, and income, he must consistently stream without interruption. According to CNN, Ninja streamed nearly 4,000 hours of Fortnite in 2018.
Ninja’s earnings and popularity are largely attributed to the immense success of Fortnite, the only game he streams. Regardless of what the future holds, he undoubtedly remains one of the most financially successful Twitch streamers of 2018.
