Ninja decides to take a break from Fortnite Solos until the game’s issues are resolved

Ninja Ends Fortnite Stream After Frustration with Gameplay Changes

The controversy surrounding Fortnite: Battle Royale’s v8.20 gameplay changes continues to unfold. Star streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins recently cut short his Fortnite stream due to consecutive losses and long queue times in the new competitive Arena solo mode. Frustrated, Ninja declared that he would only continue playing the game if significant improvements were made. He then switched to playing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Ninja’s Frustration with Solo Matches and Queue Times

Ninja expressed his frustration with the state of the game during his stream, particularly with the long queue times for Arena solos. He refused to wait for an extended period just to play in the setting he desired. Disappointed, Ninja reluctantly admitted defeat, saying, “so you win, Epic.”

Refusal to Create Alternate Account

When a viewer suggested creating an alternate account to bypass the long queue times, Ninja dismissed the idea, stating that only losers create smurf accounts.

Criticism of Epic Games

Ninja is among the streamers who have openly criticized Epic Games for removing the Siphon mechanics from standard game modes. In a previous statement, Ninja described the Squads mode as “dumb and boring” after the update.

Epic Games justified their decision to remove these mechanics in standard modes, citing concerns of excessive aggression and the need for diverse gameplay strategies. As of now, Epic Games has not addressed the possibility of reverting these changes.
