Ninja Accused of False Reporting After Complaining about Player’s High Ping

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins Faces Backlash for Reporting Player and Getting Them Banned

Once again, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins finds himself in hot water after reporting a player, which resulted in their supposed ban.

During a recent stream, Ninja reported a player for “having a higher ping.” Developer Epic Games later banned the player, known as Cheraxo, but he was later unbanned and compensated in V-Bucks for the mistaken ban.

Cheraxo uploaded a YouTube video explaining the situation and addressing his high ping during the game with Ninja. However, Cheraxo’s story raises some doubts as he claimed his ping was around 70 to 100 milliseconds when he eliminated Ninja. Yet, the actual ping time from Australia to Chicago is at least 200 milliseconds.

While Cheraxo’s video shows the email received from Epic regarding the ban and compensation, it does not provide footage of him killing Ninja. Therefore, there is uncertainty as to whether Cheraxo was actually banned because of Ninja, despite what a popular Reddit post suggests. Epic Games has confirmed that Cheraxo’s claim is “false” and that the two events are unrelated.

This is not the first time Ninja has faced criticism for reporting a player. In a recent Twitch broadcast, he falsely accused a player of stream sniping simply because they used an emote after eliminating him. Stream sniping Ninja has now become a meme, and having a high ping is the latest addition to the Ninja meme collection.
