New Outfits, Gliders, Emotes, and Pickaxes Found in Latest Fortnite Update
The data miners at @TwoEpicBuddies have discovered a collection of new outfits, gliders, emotes, and pickaxes in the latest 6.20 Fortnite update. These cosmetics, hidden in the game files, are likely to become available in Fortnite: Battle Royale in the near future.
Day of the Dead Themed Items
Many of the newly found items are inspired by the Mexican national holiday, Day of the Dead, which is celebrated on October 31. These items, including outfits, back blings, and pickaxes, feature the artistic and colorful design of human skulls known as calaveras, which are traditionally used to celebrate the Day of the Dead.
Calavera Inspired Cosmetics
Two female and two male outfits feature unique makeup designs that resemble calaveras. There are also two guitar pickaxes with calavera artwork, as well as a back bling and two colorful gliders that resemble owls painted like calaveras, featuring shades of blue and green.
Halloween-Themed Cosmetics
There are a few cosmetics that still maintain a Halloween theme, hinting at their imminent release in the game. The special Fortnitemares outfit called Deadfire, accompanied by the Shackled Stone back bling and Dark Shard pickaxe, are part of a new set of event challenges. The Dark Engine glider, obtainable by completing the set, is also among the new items discovered by TwoEpicBuddies.
Additional images suggest the introduction of new Fortnite bundles in the future. One image depicts a male character wearing an orange outfit, with a corresponding back bling and the V-Bucks symbol. This might indicate a new V-Bucks bundle that will replace the current Ace Bundle, potentially offering the outfit, back bling, and 600 V-Bucks for $4.99.
Although the release date and pricing for these items are not yet known, players can expect them to appear in the in-game store during one of the upcoming daily store rotations.
