A New Weapon Coming Soon to Fortnite
Fortnite players can expect a new addition to the game’s arsenal in the near future, as indicated by an in-game message.
The upcoming addition is the Suppressed Assault Rifle, a silenced weapon that emphasizes precision aiming. This new weapon will join existing guns with silencers such as the Suppressed Pistol and Suppressed SMG.
Upon logging in to Fortnite, players will receive a message from Epic Games teasing the release of the Suppressed Assault Rifle. Although a specific release date is not provided, items labeled as “coming soon” are typically included in the next update.
It’s highly likely that the weapon will be introduced in a content update either tomorrow or Thursday, just before the final week of season five. With season six on the horizon, this update may be the last major addition to the game before new content and the much-anticipated cube event.
The Suppressed AR’s firing mode (fully automatic, semi-automatic, or burst) is currently unknown. However, based on the emphasis on “precision aiming,” it’s possible that it may not be fully automatic.
Now, all that’s missing from the suppressed family of weapons is a No Country For Old Men-inspired Suppressed Shotgun. Epic Games, make it happen!
