Loot Lake’s Excavation Site in Fortnite: Battle Royale is Back to Being Dirty

Fortnite: Battle Royale Excavation Site at Loot Lake Covered in Dirt Again

Players of Fortnite: Battle Royale who have been working at the excavation sites might be frustrated to discover that the Loot Lake site is once again covered in dirt.

Following today’s v8.30 update, everything that players had uncovered at the Look Lake digging site a few days ago is now covered once more. However, players still have the ability to dig it up and uncover the site for a second time. It is expected that this time something will actually happen once players finish, indicating that players were initially too fast for Epic’s expectations. As a result, the company had them start over to avoid spoiling the surprise.

The Look Lake digging site was the last one that players found. They managed to uncover a single treasure chest and discovered a metal hatch beneath the dirt, but were unable to open it or deal any damage. Since then, players had given up and were expecting the hatch to open with this new update, which has not yet happened.

All dirt chunks in this digging site have 100 million health points and can be collectively destroyed by players from all servers worldwide. The damage dealt by players in their own game is processed server-side and shown to other players as a passive health decrease in each chunk. Although the health points may seem excessive, based on previous excavations, players can anticipate the complete uncovering of the site later today.

Regardless of what Epic is trying to conceal, something is expected to occur once players finish digging up the whole Loot Lake site this time. If there was nothing inside after the v8.30 update, there wouldn’t be a reason to cover it in dirt again. Players can look forward to something interesting after this latest round of excavation work is completed.
