If You Want to Play the Fortnite Alpha Tournament, Don’t Aim for Victory Like Tfue

Fortnite Pros Opt for Eliminations Over Victory Royale in Alpha Tournament

Several professional Fortnite players, including Turner “Tfue” Tenney, have adopted a new strategy in the Alpha Tournament. Instead of aiming for a Victory Royale or a top placement, they are leaving their matches as soon as they secure seven eliminations.

Their main objective is to accumulate the highest number of points in a single session, regardless of their gameplay tactics. Upon jumping off the Battle Bus, these players land in named locations with many opponents. If they’re fortunate, they find decent loot to secure early kills and earn elimination points.

In around 10 minutes, achieving seven eliminations guarantees them half the possible points of a match. Given this, they believe it’s more worthwhile to die and start a new match rather than pursuing a Victory Royale.

With one point awarded at three eliminations, another at five, and the last one at seven, these players focus solely on eliminations. In contrast, reaching the Top 10, Top 3, and securing a Victory Royale would yield the same number of points but prove to be considerably more challenging.

The difficulty increases as the number of remaining players decreases, as the remaining opponents are typically skilled players. Moreover, the Alpha Tournament’s matchmaking system pairs players with similar point totals, making it even harder to achieve top placements or Victory Royales.

While this strategy may not be the most exciting way to play the Alpha Tournament, it guarantees players the highest number of points in the shortest amount of time possible. However, for those who value the pins and aim for a flawless performance, they can take inspiration from players like Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and pursue the elusive Victory Royale.
