The upcoming Fortnite tournament is approaching, and players will have the chance to compete for a significant cash prize in the solo event.
Epic Games announced the Blackheart Cup on March 20th, which will be similar to the previous week’s Scallywag Duos Cup. However, this time, players will participate individually in the hopes of securing first place.
Players from six different regions will aim to claim a portion of the $100,000 prize pool. However, they will face tough competition.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new Fortnite Blackheart Cup.
Rules
Similar to the Scallywag Cup, eligible players from all countries and platforms can qualify for the event through The Gauntlet Test Events. The top 3% of players will compete in a three-hour period to move on to the next round, which is limited to the top 3,000 players in each region. Round two follows a similar format, with top players earning prizes based on their performance.
Players earn points based on their placings and eliminations. A Victory Royale grants players 10 points, and each elimination is worth one point. Here is the point breakdown for placings:
Placing | Points |
First | 10 |
Second and third | 7 |
Fourth to seventh | 5 |
Eighth to 12th | 3 |
Stream
Fortnite fans can watch the Blackheart Cup games on the official Fortnite Twitch channel starting at 3pm CT today. Matches will also continue tomorrow, presumably at the same time.
Prize Pool
Despite being split among six regions, the Blackheart Cup offers a $100,000 prize pool. NA East and Europe each have a $2,500 grand prize, with the top 120 players in EU receiving a portion of the prize pool.
Here’s the breakdown of prizes for each of the six regions.
