Four Items in Fortnite Season Eight That Need Nerfs or Removal
In Fortnite: Battle Royale, there are a few items and weapons that players wish didn’t exist. With the start of the Fortnite World Cup Open Qualifiers, some of these items should be replaced or vaulted. Here are the four items that should be nerfed or removed from Fortnite Season Eight.
The Baller
Vehicles have always been a problem in Fortnite, and The Baller is the nightmare of this season. Its incredible mobility and 200 hit points make it overpowered. Though the driver can’t shoot while controlling it, its survivability is enough to warrant a significant nerf. Epic attempted to nerf it by allowing players to hit the driver through the glass, but they ultimately only reduced its health.
Heavy Sniper
In Fortnite, there are Sniper Rifles that can eliminate opponents with full health but no shield. However, the Heavy Sniper is a different story. It can eliminate opponents with full health and half shield, while also taking down structures in a single shot with at least 1050 structure damage. The Heavy Sniper’s high damage rewards average aim with 150 damage. A slight tweak in its damage, perhaps to a maximum of 140, would be ideal to allow players with half shield to survive it.
The Rocket Launcher
The Rocket Launcher in Fortnite has always been a mystery. It deals a staggering 116 explosive damage in a wide area. If an opponent shoots a rocket at you from close range, it’s nearly impossible to defend yourself. If you hide behind a wall, you can only hope your opponent doesn’t destroy it before the rocket reaches you. Rocket Launchers deal excessive damage and require no skill to use, making them frustrating to encounter in the game.
Bush
The Bush item in Fortnite is easily forgettable. While it can be found in chests, it’s rarely used because it’s not an effective camouflage. It takes up a space in players’ inventory that could be used for more useful items. The Bush is an item that could benefit from being replaced or retired.
