A mysterious vault continues to intrigue Fortnite players
Season five of Fortnite: Battle Royale brought numerous changes to the game’s map, but one item remains unchanged and shrouded in mystery.
Located in Wailing Woods, the enigmatic vault added to Fortnite on May 8 remains untouched.

Speculation arose during season four that the vault would play a role in the highly-anticipated rocket launch on June 30. However, even after the start of the new season, the vault remains intact in Wailing Woods.
The vault appears unchanged, except for some grass that has grown at the bottom. Players are still unable to interact with the vault in any way, and the door remains indestructible.

Fortnite fans are now left to wonder what the long-term plans for the vault might be. With no action taken during or after season four, it is difficult to predict when or if the vault will come into play.
It would be fascinating if Epic Games placed the vault in Wailing Woods during season four as a setup for future events, or if it remains a permanent mystery. Only time will tell, as Epic Games seems to always be one step ahead.
