Fortnite’s Unvaulted LTM Transforms into Squad Mode for the Weekend

Epic Games to Extend Unvaulted Limited Time Mode as Squads Mode

Fortnite developer Epic Games has announced that the new Unvaulted Limited Time Mode will be available as a Squads mode throughout the week. Currently, the mode is only playable for Duos but will change to Squads on Jan. 4.

Duration of Unvaulted Mode Still Unknown

It is currently unclear when Unvaulted will be removed from the Limited Time Mode rotation.

The Popularity of Unvaulted LTM among Fortnite Players

The Unvaulted Limited Time Mode has become a popular choice among Fortnite: Battle Royale players. It brings back weapons and items that were vaulted in previous seasons while removing recently added items. Originally planned as a Classic game mode for the 14 Days of Fortnite event, the mode was changed to take place in the current map with old weapons and items.

Changes to Unvaulted LTM

Epic recently made changes to the Unvaulted mode. The new item Boombox has been removed, while Revolvers and Smoke Grenades are now active. However, players will still miss the Crossbow, which was vaulted in May 2018.

Epic also mentioned that game modes with large team respawns, like Team Rumble, have been well-received by players. This could potentially lead to the introduction of a permanent mode with large team respawns, although this is yet to be confirmed.

Unvaulted Squads and Team Rumble LTMs also allow players to progress through daily and weekly challenges. Players can enjoy a different gameplay experience and quickly upgrade their Battle Pass tiers.
