Fortnite’s Season 5 rolls out multi-stage challenges in Week 7

Fortnite Season 5 Week 7 Challenges: A New Twist

This week in Fortnite: Battle Royale’s fifth season, the challenges have taken on a new twist, providing a refreshing change of pace. Instead of searching for a certain number of chests in one location, players now have to find one chest in multiple different locations in a row. Let’s take a look at this week’s challenges:

Free Challenges

  • Visit 4 different named locations in a single match – 5 Battle Stars
  • Search 3 Supply Drops – 5 Battle Stars
  • Get 3 SMG Eliminations – 10 Battle Stars

To complete the challenge of visiting four different named locations in a single match, players can simply walk into any of the named locations on the map. It’s easier if the named locations are closer together, but you can also use Rifts to travel quickly around the map. Searching for three supply drops may take some time and luck. And for SMG eliminations, it’s as simple as picking up an SMG and taking down an opponent. Keep in mind, finishing off someone with an SMG that you downed with another weapon still counts as an SMG elimination.

Battle Pass Challenges

  • Deal 8,000 damage to opponents’ structures with Remote Explosives – 5 Battle Stars
  • Stage 1: Search a Chest in Pleasant Park
Stage 2: Search a Chest in Retail Row
Stage 3: Search a Chest in Lucky Landing
Stage 4: Search a Chest in Greasy Grove
Stage 5: Search a Chest in Paradise Palms – 5 Battle Stars (1 per stage)
  • Follow the treasure map found in Dusty Divot – 10 Battle Stars
  • Eliminate 3 opponents in Lazy Links – 10 Battle Stars

If dealing 8,000 damage to opponents’ structures with Remote Explosives sounds like a lot, don’t worry. It can go quickly if you use it on large builds that enemies have put up during fights, even if you come across a structure long after the battle has ended. The multi-stage challenge this week will send you all over the map, but you can complete it over the course of multiple games, so there’s no need to rush. It might even encourage players to land in different places than usual, adding to the excitement.

The treasure map for this week will lead you to a cluster of three trees just northwest of Dusty Divot. And finally, you’ll need to eliminate three opponents at Lazy Links, which may be a popular spot for the next few days. If not, it’s likely that players will land there when the battle bus begins from the north, making it a popular drop-off location.

Good luck completing this week’s challenges!
