Epic Games Reveals Prize Distribution for Scallywag Duos Cup
Epic Games has announced the prize distribution for its upcoming tournament, the Scallywag Duos Cup, in a recent update on Reddit. With a $100,000 prize pool, the tournament will be split into two rounds.
In round one, also known as the semifinals, participants will compete on March 16th. The finals for round two will be held the following day.
During each round, participants will have three hours to compete and can play a maximum of 10 matches per day. At the end of the semifinals, the top 1500 duos from each of the six participating regions will advance to the finals.
After the conclusion of the finals, the top 25 duos will receive prizes. The prize amounts will vary based on the region, with first place in NA East and Europe earning $2,500 and $3,500, respectively. In the other four regions, first place winners will receive $1,000. The remaining top 25 duos in each region will also receive separate prize amounts based on their ranking.
Participants must be at least 13 years old and have enabled two-factor authentication and linked their accounts to an Epic ID to be eligible to compete in the finals and future cash prize tournaments.
The Scallywag Duos Cup was introduced with the release of patch v8.10 and will serve as a test tournament for the Fortnite World Cup.
